Chickasha board approves account and software pilot for planned early learning center, tables curriculum adoption

The board also approved participation in a no-cost pilot of Brightwill (a childcare-management and parent-communication platform) funded through a grant from the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness through June. Pam, who led the presentation, said the pilot will let the district test communication, enrollment and billing functions and decide which components to adopt long term.
Board members pressed staff for more detail on licensing, staffing, tuition, capacity and financial projections. Pam said the district has at least 10 staff-member children interested now and plans to scale; she described a three-month Brightwell curriculum pilot (infant and toddler kits) intended to start in April, but trustees expressed concern about paying for materials before an official opening. After extended discussion trustees moved to table formal curriculum adoption until the April regular meeting (or a special meeting if necessary) and asked staff to provide a preliminary rollout plan and clearer messaging to the community.
