Big Horn County Commission approves bills, minutes and election judge pay; tables a corrective salary resolution

Commissioner Dave Neves moved to approve accounts payable and payroll as presented; that motion was seconded and carried. Neves also moved to approve the May 19 minutes and the license transfer for Meadowlark Lodge; both motions were seconded and carried. Neves moved to approve Election Judge pay rates and mileage reimbursement; that motion was seconded and carried.
What was tabled or discussed: Clerk Lori Smallwood presented corrective salary resolutions to fix a typographical error. Chairman Deb Craft said she did not like that decision and requested reconsideration; the commission tabled the corrective resolution pending County Attorney advice on whether substantive changes are allowable. The commission went into an executive session to discuss potential litigation; the session ended with no action taken.
Other approvals and notes: Deputy clerks Marquerite VanDyke and Carol Willard presented a detailed accounts payable list (items and vendors appear in the minutes). Public Health Nursing presented and received consensus approval to purchase office furniture using Workforce Services grant funds; Public Health staff also reported an increase in the reimbursement rate for long-term evaluations to $164.
