Board approves $719,865.56 in expenditures, certifications and shared-services agreement with Rumson Borough

On Sept. 27 the Board approved bill lists and payroll totaling $719,865.56 in expenditures, accepted July financial reports and certifications required under 6A:23A-16.10, authorized facilities use and conference attendance, and approved a shared-service agreement with Rumson Borough for Special Law Enforcement Officers III coverage for 2022–2023.
The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Board of Education on Sept. 27 approved finance items that included the bill list dated Sept. 22, 2022 (General Fund $135,276.36; Special Services $3,000; total $138,276.36), a payroll run of $581,589.20 and total expenditures of $719,865.56.
The Board also approved the Board Secretary’s report and the Panda LLC cash reconciliation for July 31, 2022, authorized budget transfers for July, and recorded the Board Secretary’s and Board’s certifications required under N.J. administrative code 6A:23A-16.10 that no major account has been over-expended as of July 31, 2022.
The Board approved facility use requests (for example, Fair Haven School District field hockey on Oct. 3) and a slate of staff and board-member conference and workshop attendances, with estimated registration and incidental costs listed in the minutes. The minutes note that each board member present abstained from voting on their own conference registration listed under agenda item 16.
The Board also approved a shared-service agreement with the Borough of Rumson to provide Special Law Enforcement Officers III coverage for the 2022–2023 school year.
Procedural note: Finance agenda items 9–17 were approved on a motion by Mr. Kenney, seconded by Mrs. Thompson, by roll-call vote of those present; the minutes record abstentions where board members were individually named on item 16.
