Montague approves state-aid road contracts and New Road resurfacing grant

The Committee approved three awards recommended by the New Jersey Department of Transportation Division of Local Aid and Economic Development (Resolutions 2024-066, 2024-067 and 2024-068) to Riverview Paving, Inc., Denville Line Painting, Inc., and Road Safety Systems, LLC for state-aid projects. No contract amounts for the state-aid awards were stated in the meeting record.
Separately, the Committee authorized submission of a grant application and execution of a grant contract with the NJDOT for the New Road — Section II resurfacing project. Mayor Zitone said the project will be done in phases, with paving scheduled this year from Brook Haven to Deckertown and a hoped-for second phase next year from Brook Haven to Clove Road.
The Committee also approved Resolution 2024-073 awarding a contract to Riverview Paving, Inc. under the Morris County Cooperative bid for milling and paving of Grandview Terrace and Minisink Drive in an amount not to exceed $96,000.
All motions were carried by unanimous roll call votes.
