The Black Hawk County Board of Health approved routine financial disbursements, accepted the financial report dated May 20, 2026, and approved a seven‑item consent agenda covering new and renewed contracts and amendments.
Finance staff Todd Parsons reviewed disbursements and presented the financial report. The board approved payment of bills on a motion by Melissa Clark, seconded by Rosario Garcia Fino. The consent agenda — covering items A through G — was presented by Deputy Director Tai Burkhart and approved on a single motion by Melissa Clark, seconded by Rosario Garcia Fino.
Consent items included: a new Thrive Iowa contract (FWBPECA27013) to be executed with Iowa Health and Human Services rather than through Restore Hope; a limited‑use license agreement with Walgreens for STI/HIV/Hepatitis C testing, screening and counseling events; renewal of the private well grant program (PHTHOEL27007) with the grant allocation noted in discussion as reduced from $35,000 to $30,000; renewals and amendments to colorectal cancer screening and child & adolescent health and oral health program contracts; and an additional amendment to the 1st Five Healthy Mental Development Initiative implementation contract. The minutes show all items were approved; no roll-call vote was recorded in the minutes.
