The Plain Dealing Town Council handled routine business items during its May 13 meeting, approving minutes from April 8 and April 17, 2025 and the April expense report. Each approval was made by motion and passed unanimously with no public comment.
The council also approved a community center rental request from Essie Graham for a meet-and-greet on July 11, 2025. Alderman Shavonda Gay used the council remarks portion to announce the North Bossier Civic Club is collecting donations to help rebuild a civic center in St. Mary that recently burned; donations are to be mailed to P.O. Box 10 in Plain Dealing.
Mayor James Cook had no comments. The council adjourned at 6:56 p.m. on a unanimous motion.
