Board members emphasized the long timeline from award notice to construction and noted additional federal grant agreement steps the lead county must complete before funds flow.
The board did not take formal action other than to acknowledge the update. Staff said Polk County and partner counties will pursue programmatic steps and coordinate local funding responsibilities as part of the grant agreement and project design phases.
