Road Commissioner reports storm cleanup, ramp material on hand and FY27 culvert replacements planned

Road Commissioner Keith Lacasse updated the board on storm cleanup and short- and medium-term road work. He reported that a tree fell on Beach Hill Road causing a power outage; the Fire Department cut and moved the tree off the road and Lacasse completed cleanup. He also cleared a tree that fell near the bottom of Roys Road.
Lacasse said he had backed the sides of town roads with 10 loads of material from Condron and used six loads already at the salt shed. He reported that material for a new ramp is on site and that he will repair a crack in the Town Hall basement wall before building the ramp. He said the sides of town roads were mowed.
Looking ahead to FY27, Lacasse said he expects to replace a culvert on Greylock Road and two on Ingraham Road, and requested storing material in the salt shed for emergencies. He also said he will perform ditch cleaning and patching as part of routine maintenance.
