The Onekama Township Parks and Recreation Committee debated website landing-page behavior and agreed to make the Parks & Recreation page emphasize park names and events rather than sending users immediately to survey results.
Chelsea proposed that the first click lead directly to public survey results to encourage participation, but members disagreed and reached consensus that the landing page should list parks (with park names prominent) and place events below, using a calendar tool if one is workable. The committee noted a new site has been launched; Bick will work through the site to find errors and apply updates using suggestions Brian provided previously. Matt discussed possible web support from local schools as another avenue for assistance.
The committee also discussed survey administration: Katie had asked whether the survey was closed and requested an extract of responses from Onekama Township and Village to inform the five-year plan follow-up meeting. The committee agreed to schedule a further five-year-plan meeting after county survey results are available.
