Property maintenance: trustees reviewed two properties (1 Chestnut Road and 17 Ridge Drive West) that had received multiple warnings for code violations and approved a resolution authorizing the village or a contracted landscaper to clean the properties and place fees on the property tax bill if the owners do not comply. The board clarified that a corrected notice would be sent for a property affected by a prior notice typo and owners would be given a five-day response window.
ARC and building items: the acting building superintendent presented three applications (11 Westgate portico modification; new single-family residence at 91 Fernwood sited on a steep slope; roofing and siding replacement at 334 Nassau Avenue). The board recommended approval and then voted to approve the three applications; the applicant for the steep-slope site agreed to pay for an outside engineering review.
Outcome: all routine approvals and the ARC applications passed by voice vote; several projects will proceed subject to conditions discussed at the meeting.
