Arapahoe council approves $4,000 audit payment for RVGYF, $7,500 tree-grant payment and routine claims

In new business, Councilman Paulsen moved and Councilman Carpenter seconded a motion to approve claims and payroll for the period March 5–18, 2025. The council record shows February receipts totaled $281,334.74 and a set of itemized expenses and claims listed in the packet totaled $141,180.64, which include a payroll run on March 10 of $10,022.82 and numerous vendor payments. The roll-call vote to adopt claims and payroll recorded Ayes — tenBensel, Paulsen, Carpenter, Polston, Middagh and Kreutzer; no Nays were recorded. The minutes also note abstentions on specific claim line items: Councilman Paulsen abstained from claim #102949 ($200) and #102960 ($88.20); Councilman Chris Middagh abstained from claim #102947 ($99.80) and #102951 ($348.28). The Mayor declared the motion passed.
The minutes name Mayor Koller as presiding officer and record that City Superintendent Jerry Stevens and City Clerk Dixie Sickels attended; visitor Bobbi Pettit of Five Rule was listed as present in chambers. The meeting record also states that the Nebraska Open Meetings Act was posted and available.
