Principal Joseph Coladarci presented the district's 2024-2025 HIB self-assessment to the board and public during the April 29 meeting. The report was part of the presentations before the board moved briefly into closed session.
Later in the meeting the board accepted the interim superintendent's recommendation and confirmed Disciplinary Matter 2025-26-M-3 as a confirmed case of HIB. The item was approved as part of Curriculum/Policy Agenda Item 042926-S-12.
The board also approved a revised 2025-26 calendar (June 24 early dismissal; June 25 last day and rain date for 8th grade graduation), and authorized a 2026-2027 Emergency Evacuation Agreement with County College of Morris through June 30, 2027 to support district evacuation planning. The board approved MAEA/PTO-sponsored events including a community softball game on May 12, 2026, and noted that fire/emergency drills were conducted with the Mount Arlington Police Department and bus evacuation drills with Roxbury Transportation.
The board's Curriculum/Policy motions (042926-S-12 through S-15) were presented by Melissa Eckert and seconded by Sheila Studint and approved by roll call. The board recorded staff attendance for March 2026 at 93.8% and student attendance rates for March (MAPS 93.7%; Decker 91.5%).
