Mountainside council approves 2025 municipal budget and sets public hearing for May 20

The Mountainside Borough Council on April 22 approved Resolution 60-2025 to adopt the municipal budget for calendar year 2025 and directed publication of the summary on May 1, 2025. Councilmember Valerie read the budget resolution and said the budget and tax resolution will be published in the local newspaper; a budget hearing is scheduled for May 20 at 7:30 p.m.
"Notice is hereby given that the budget and tax resolution was approved by the mayor and council of the Borough Of Mountainside... A hearing on the budget and tax resolution will be held on 05/20/2025 at 07:30 PM," Valerie said. Mayor Paul Mirabelli also told attendees the full budget is available on the Mountainside website and invited taxpayers with questions to raise them at the May 20 hearing.
The council approved the resolution by roll call. The budget includes revenue and appropriation summaries required by statute; the council indicated staff will be available at the hearing to answer questions from taxpayers.
