Council advances $1.1 million bond ordinance and $218,674 resurfacing appropriation

"To pay the cost thereof to make a down payment to authorize the issuance of bonds to finance such appropriation," the ordinance text states. The ordinance was moved and seconded and will proceed through the standard public-adoption process.
Separately, Councilmember Don presented Ordinance 13-43-2025 to appropriate $218,674 specifically for resurfacing two local streets. The council voted to introduce both ordinances for first reading; further hearings or readings will take place before final adoption.
Council members emphasized that these measures are intended to fund necessary infrastructure work and resurfacing projects identified by public works staff. The ordinances were introduced and will be scheduled for subsequent hearings and final votes as required by municipal procedure.
