Neptune City Board schedules public presentations on bond referendum for school capital improvements

The Neptune City chief school administrator told the board the district will hold multiple public presentations about a proposed bond referendum that would fund building and infrastructure improvements. She said the district is arranging sessions for the public to hear from the architect and project team, including a mock referendum presentation at Woodrow Wilson on Jan. 29 at 7 p.m., and additional public sessions on Feb. 11, Feb. 12 and Feb. 25.
"We encourage the public to come out and learn directly from our architect, the capital improvements we're looking to gain with the bond referendum and how that will benefit the infrastructure of the school, as well as creating a safe and comfortable learning environment for our students," the chief administrator said.
The administrator said Kevin Santabrino will be part of the presenters at some sessions. The board did not adopt any bond measures at the meeting; the presentations are part of the district’s public outreach ahead of a referendum process that will require voter approval if the board places a question on the ballot.
