The district is piloting social‑emotional learning supports, including a "Creature Comfort" dog therapy program, and is developing a DEI rubric to evaluate curriculum. On artificial intelligence, the superintendent presented a district statement that "The New Providence School District believes that artificial intelligence can enhance teaching methods, expand learning resources, and contribute to a dynamic and innovative educational environment for students and faculty." The administration said it will monitor AI use to ensure pedagogy and ethics are addressed.
Facility priorities tied to the bond include purchasing new furniture and completing a district‑wide HVAC project planned for Summer 2024; budget work for FY2025/26 will occur under the 2% tax levy cap with a draft review scheduled Feb. 6. The board set key strategic‑plan dates: May 29 for presentation of the strategic plan and June 26 for board approval.
