"The District anticipates that AI will have a transformative impact on the future of education, and that's why it's really important that both our teachers as well as our students identify and be able to navigate AI systems," she said. The policy text as described in the meeting covers privacy and data security, equity and access, instruction about responsible digital citizenship, monitoring and evaluation, academic integrity and staff‑use guidelines and violations.
Implementation: Dr. Zirpoli said the district will devote half a day of August professional development to introduce staff to AI tools and to discuss instructional uses and safeguards.
