New Providence Board approves $7.84M bill list, grants, contracts and personnel actions

Students and placements: The Board approved the enrollment of Student #1601130 at The Calais School for the 2024–25 school year at a tuition rate of $77,464.80, effective Sept. 3, 2024.
Personnel: The Board approved multiple personnel appointments, ARP‑ESSER funded positions, resignations (including Katherine Blanco and Robert Yannotta), salary revisions and unpaid leaves (for example, unpaid maternity leave for Yu (Lucy) Zheng beginning Dec. 13, 2024, subject to adjustment). The Board also authorized a Shared Services Agreement for provision of Special Law Enforcement Officers (SLEOs) with the Borough of New Providence for 2024–25.
Voting: Nearly all motions were carried by roll call with the transcript recording seven yea votes (Coniglio, Cuccaro, Empson Hayden, Gunderman, Killea, Marano, Walsh) on the listed motions.
Next steps: Approved purchasess, grants and agreements will proceed per contract terms and with compliance filings to the New Jersey Department of Education where required.
