The Lauderdale County Commission approved the building-permit report for April 2025, which listed nine permits: two new homes, six storage sheds and one porch addition. Paul Hankins presented the report; the motion to accept it passed on voice vote.
The body recognized Emergency Medical Services Week (May 18'24) and Mayor Maurice Gaines announced the Industrial Waste Committee would meet Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. The commission also discussed the education bond in general terms as other business in the meeting minutes.
Commissioners elected a slate of Notary Publics for terms prescribed by law (listed in the minutes), and the commission adjourned the meeting at 7:03 p.m. on a motion by Commissioner Joe Pursell, seconded by Commissioner Rob Harris.
