Mayor Grova opens reorganization meeting; Resolution 11-26 and Ellison appointment tabled, ordinance introduced

Grova told the council that Resolution No. 11-26 and the appointment of Mr. Ellison to the planning/zoning board would be tabled for later consideration. She also said Special Events Committee dates would be added to the agenda for approval: MLK Day of Service on Jan. 19; Galentine's Day on Feb. 22; a Dr. Seuss event on March 7; and an Easter Egg Hunt on March 28 (rain date March 29).
Ordinance No. 2026-1 was introduced at the meeting and a public hearing was scheduled for Feb. 12. Grova noted that a drainage control plan must be submitted by Dec. 31, 2025, as required by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection; the transcript does not specify the exact drainage-control measures or numeric thresholds referenced.
