At the May 4 meeting the Clerk-Treasurer, Stephanie Berkey, reported the town’s reconciled balances and discussed intended uses of remaining ARPA funds.
Berkey reported general funds of $297,750, sewer funds of $18,434 and water funds of $27,425. She noted the town is considering using remaining ARPA dollars to buy a smoke test machine to support sewer diagnostics and maintenance planning.
Under new business President John Hurley introduced Ordinance 2026-402, the FY27 Budget Ordinance. No vote or adoption was recorded at the meeting; the ordinance was introduced for consideration.
Commissioner Brad Sears also said he wants a workshop on water and sewer rates on May 13, 2026 and an open town hall afterward so residents can ask questions about rates and the budgetary process.
