President Brad Sears introduced Charter Amendment Resolution 2026-01 at the Jan. 5 meeting, saying the resolution would repeal outdated provisions and update requirements related to the town attorney. Commissioners announced a public hearing on the charter amendment will be held at the Feb. 2 Town Meeting.
President Sears also introduced Ordinance No. 2026-401 to address outdated code provisions. No votes were taken on either the resolution or the ordinance at the Jan. 5 meeting; both items remain in the drafting/notification stage and will return for future consideration.
