At its Sept. 25 meeting the Queenstown Commissioners recorded routine financial reports, approved minutes and approved a small equipment purchase.
The clerk's treasurer report listed a water/sewer fund balance of $70,634.13 and an ARPA fund balance of $611,550.71; the General Fund figure in the minutes was unreadable in the transcript and is not specified. The board approved minutes for Aug. 28, Sept. 11 and Sept. 17 (special and closed) by motions that recorded 2-0 votes on each with Commissioner Willis noted as abstaining because he had been absent from those meetings.
Commissioner Bryon Callahan moved to purchase a microphone/speaker system quoted at $524.49; Willis seconded and the commissioners voted 3-0 to approve the purchase. The clerk said electronic speed-sign information would be circulated to commissioners for review. The meeting also set Trick-or-Treat for Oct. 31, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The meeting later recessed to a closed session for a personnel matter and legal advice and reconvened and adjourned at 7:02 p.m.
