Queenstown tables three rezoning map amendments and defers cannabis facility zoning decision pending site visit

President Al Hardee said he wanted to visit a cannabis growing facility in Centreville before making any decision on local regulations for cultivation facilities and asked Town Manager Amy Moore to arrange the visit. No votes were taken to adopt any of the draft zoning amendments or Ordinance 24-05 at the meeting; commissioners postponed action to a future date to allow additional fact‑finding and site review.
Tabling preserves commissioners’ ability to consider local zoning classifications and regulatory language after inspecting an operational facility and reviewing potential community impacts and standards used elsewhere. Staff flagged the pending rezoning items for future agendas when additional information is available.
