Riverdale Park board members reviewed a single submission to the town’s sticker contest and agreed to move quickly to print and distribute promotional materials. Heather, the staff member coordinating arts outreach, displayed the design and said it was created by a local Riverdale artist and that she would send it to the Riverdale Park Arts committee for review.
Board members supported printing stickers and producing a poster to hang in Town Hall so that residents would see the artwork when they come to vote. One member suggested making a larger poster to display in the lobby; Heather said she would follow up with the RP Arts group and aim to order prints within a day or two so materials would be ready for the farmers’ market.
The board welcomed the participation and discussed holding the next contest earlier in the season to encourage more youth entries. Heather and staff will coordinate printing, signs and distribution at the May 1 farmers’ market.
