At the Oct. 23 meeting, Town Clerk Aaron Horney reported the town's cash balances and flagged the water/sewer fund as low. Horney reported the following balances: General Fund $209,455.35; Water/Sewer Fund $4,939.64; ARPA Fund $594,641.33. He said the water/sewer fund has been low more frequently and the town may need to consider a rate study to address the shortfall.
The Finance Committee told commissioners that auditors are continuing work on the town audit and will inform the board if an extension is necessary. The board did not take a formal vote on rates at the meeting; the discussion was recorded as an informational report and a possible future action (rate study) was flagged for follow up.
Separately, approval of the Oct. 9, 2024 minutes was tabled because only one commissioner who attended that meeting was present to vote.
