The presiding officer named Senators Jackson, Powers, Reeves, Rose and Yeager and Representatives Cochran, Williams, Hill, Chisholm and Hardaway; Representative Cochran was designated committee chairman. The joint convention then stood in recess pending the governor's arrival.
