Ava Board approves three ordinances and files resolution for state water grant

Ordinance No. 1168, authorizing the Ava Police Department to enter into a memorandum of agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under 8 U.S.C. §1357(g), passed both its first and second readings. Motions for the readings were made and seconded as recorded; both readings carried on recorded votes of 3-0.
Ordinance No. 1169, an agreement between the City of Ava and Toth and Associates, Inc., was read and approved in both first and second readings, each carrying 3-0.
Ordinance No. 1170 authorizes the mayor to execute and the city clerk to attest an agreement with DBT Transportation Services for purchase and installation of an AWOS system at the Ava Bill Martin Memorial Airport; that ordinance passed its first and second readings 3-0.
The board also approved Resolution No. 2026-105.08, which authorizes filing an application with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Clean State Revolving Fund Program for an engineering services grant under the Missouri Clean Water Law (Chapter 644, RSMo). That motion carried 3-0.
Each ordinance and the resolution were recorded in the minutes with the motion, the seconder, and a unanimous vote by the three aldermen present. No amendments or roll-call dissents were recorded. The board did not record detailed debate on the ordinances in the minutes.
The board moved on to other agenda items after the recorded votes.
