The River Ridge Community Development District continued work on its FY2024/2025 budget at the July 23 meeting and scheduled a public hearing for adoption.
District Manager Mr. Adams asked whether further adjustments were needed beyond Kurt Blumenthal’s updated five‑year Capital Improvement Plan. Discussion covered design and permitting for guardhouses, proposals for construction plans, whether funds could be transferred into cash sweep accounts, the well and use of a traffic hawk, and timing for the budget public hearing.
Mrs. Adams presented unaudited financial statements as of June 30, 2024, including budget variance details and the proposed 2023–2029 five‑year plan, and she responded to questions about items on the check register. The board confirmed the next meeting for Aug. 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. to adopt the FY2025 budget; supervisors Gilman, Twombly, Blumenthal and Mountford confirmed attendance and Chair Schultz will attend by phone.
Mr. Twombly also voiced concerns that board members sometimes lack needed information before meetings; Mr. Adams said staff will give periodic updates on major projects to improve preparedness.
