The Johnston Town Council unanimously approved the Dec. 9, 2024 meeting minutes and the town's December 2024 financial report during its regular meeting on Jan. 13, 2025. Councilman Felder moved to approve the minutes, Councilman Nicholson seconded and the motion passed unanimously; Councilman Nicholson moved to approve the financial report, Councilman Miller seconded and that motion also passed unanimously.
Mayor Holmes announced that the council set the first Budget Workshop of 2025 for Monday, March 3, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., and said the town's annual audit will be presented at the February council meeting by administrator Roger LeDuc. Council reviewed the December bills during the session but no roll-call disputes or contested items were recorded in the minutes.
Later in the meeting Mayor Holmes moved, and Councilman Berry seconded, that the council enter executive session to discuss contractual matters; the motion passed unanimously. A subsequent motion to exit executive session, moved by Mayor Holmes and seconded by Councilman Miller, was recorded; the minutes state no action was taken following the executive session. The meeting adjourned at 6:58 p.m.
