City staff reported Jan. 29 that the City of Brentwood received three qualified submissions for an on‑call crisis communications consulting RFQ and 22 submissions for a comprehensive logo and branding initiative.
The crisis communications RFQ sought firms to provide on‑call crisis support, media relations and strategic messaging for municipal emergency situations; submissions were due Jan. 15. The branding RFQ asked for firms to develop a cohesive, updated visual identity for the city; that solicitation also closed Jan. 15. Staff said copies of all submittals will be uploaded to the agenda packet for committee review.
Because the branding RFQ returned a larger than expected pool of proposals, staff informed the committee that the review process will require additional time for thorough evaluation and that a more detailed update is expected at the next committee meeting. Committee members discussed using a survey to assess resident needs and updating the postal mailing list as part of communication planning.
No final selections or contractual decisions were made at the Jan. 29 meeting; the review committees are continuing evaluations and will report back when recommendations are ready.
