The committee heard that STL TV requested the new rate align with the vendor's fiscal year starting July 1, 2026.
Alderman David Plufka moved to recommend the rate increase and Committee Member Cari Wegge seconded. A roll-call vote recorded aye votes from Committee Member Wegge, Committee Member Truman, Committee Member Wright, Alderman Plufka and Chairman Jeff Gould; the motion passed. The committee's recommendation will be forwarded to the Ways & Means committee for consideration.
The committee's discussion noted the City previously executed a formal agreement with STL‑TV following a 2019 request for proposals; that contract was approved by Resolution #1168 on Aug. 19, 2019. No changes to the contract language were recorded at the meeting; members limited action to recommending the new rate to Ways & Means.
