Chaffee council approves bills, orders appraisal on 204 Helen and schedules closed session

Chaffee, Mo. — At the Dec. 1 meeting the Chaffee City Council approved routine financial and administrative items, moved to appraise a property after a survey, and scheduled a closed session for personnel reviews.
The City Clerk presented an invoice from Republic Services for $16,640.37; Ron Davis moved to pay the bill, seconded by Danny Finley, and the council voted unanimously to approve payment. Council also approved monthly bills on a motion by Mark Perkins seconded by Ron Davis and accepted the November 2025 Collector’s Report after a motion by Danny Finley and second by Steve Milz.
Notes from the City Administrator, read by Mayor Pro-Tem Eric Seyer, included a completed survey of the property at 204 Helen showing the fence is not over the property line. The council voted (motion by Mark Perkins, seconded by Tony Enderle) to have the property appraised. The City Administrator’s employee reviews were presented; the council voted to hold a closed session at the next meeting (Dec. 15) to discuss the reviews.
The council also voted to transfer municipal court business to Scott County at that county’s earliest convenience (motion by Andy Sadler, seconded by Danny Finley). The minutes record no public comment on these items and no recorded dissent; all listed motions passed on unanimous roll calls.
