Chaffee approves $3,120 purchase of adjustable youth basketball goals and asks staff for security camera estimates

The Chaffee City Council approved the purchase of adjustable youth basketball goals from Anthem Sports for up to $3,120, to be paid from the Youth League budget. Andy Sadler presented the quote and said the goals are needed to support skill development for younger players; the motion to purchase was made by Steve Milz and seconded by Tony Enderle and carried unanimously.
Park volunteers and program representatives Darin and Stephanie McPherron and Kayleigh Halbert joined the council for the presentation; Halbert thanked the city for recently purchased basketballs and ball racks. Andy Sadler also reported that construction on new dugouts is expected to begin soon.
Separately, the council discussed that there are currently no security cameras at City Hall or certain city properties and requested that City Administrator Lee Horton research estimates for City Hall, the Maintenance Shed, Frisco Park and the North Field concession.
Routine purchases and accounts payable items were also approved during the meeting.
