Chaffee council hears public‑works and personnel updates including snow‑removal insurance gap and employee injury

He also reported that employee Mark Lueder suffered a broken foot outside work and will be out for an extended period; Andy Sadler requested that Lueder not keep his work vehicle at home during recovery and Horton said the vehicle would be returned to the Public Works shop.
Police Chief Sullivan reported that dumpsters raised at the prior meeting had been moved off the street and that Republic Services was asked to continue removing them. Chief Sullivan also said residents on Southbrook Drive had proposed closing the street to vehicle traffic for trick‑or‑treating next year; council discussion was recorded but no formal decision was made.
