Pattonville firefighter thanks council; Bridgeton leaders praise first responders and volunteers

Barnhart described joint work that includes training Bridgeton police in CPR, AED use, Narcan administration and forcible-entry techniques. He also highlighted collaborative community events such as "breakfast with badges," lifeguard trainings, the outdoor pool rededication and the Christmas tree lighting. "On behalf of Pattonville Fire District, I would like to thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to serve our community," Barnhart said.
Council members paused the agenda to allow Barnhart extended remarks after a motion to suspend council rules passed. Multiple council members, the police chief and the mayor echoed Barnhart's appreciation and cited examples of mutual aid and volunteer work following a March EF-2 tornado that affected the area.
The exchange emphasized local interagency cooperation and volunteerism; it concluded with a series of council communications that also recognized other city events and volunteer-driven programs over the past year.
