Bridgeton council approves multiple 2026–27 supplier contracts for road and maintenance materials

The Bridgeton City Council approved several vendor contracts for 2026–2027 on motions from Council member Hood and seconded by Council member Norris. The associated bids were dated Nov. 6, 2025 and the council approved the motions by voice vote with no opposition.
Key approvals included: Bridgefield Asphalt LLC as the primary supplier of asphalt concrete mix (Missouri Asphalt Products as secondary and New Frontier Materials LLC as tertiary), SoCalco Limited as the primary supplier of calcium chloride (Scottwood Industries Inc. as secondary), Heritage Petroleum and Energy Petroleum for gasoline, diesel and lubricants (and suppliers for motor oils as noted in the bids), Western Ready Mix Concrete Inc. as primary ready-mix supplier (Kinstra/Kinston Concrete as secondary), and Ennis Flint Inc. as the primary supplier of traffic marking paint with Sherwin-Williams as secondary and supplier of glass spheres.
Council member Hood read the contract/award language into the record and each motion was seconded; in at least one instance the clerk noted the motion passed "8 to 0" and other approvals were recorded without opposition. City staff indicated the contracts cover supply for the 2026 and 2027 seasons and follow the competitive bid submissions dated 11/06/2025.
The approved supplier slate establishes sources for materials the city uses for pavement, de-icing, marking and fleet fuel through the next two years.
