Hamilton aldermen hear department updates; set next meetings

Mayor Cole Crawford listed community events including citywide garage sales (Aug. 16), airing of quilts (Aug. 15–16), the Gas & Steam Engine Show (Aug. 15–17), an ice-cream social and the farmers market (Aug. 16). Street representative Wade Reed reported on durapatching, mowing, brush-hogging, spraying, ditch and culvert checks, new striping in the police parking lot and crack filling. City Administrator Lauren Dannar updated the board on dredging the water lagoons and work on the chlorine room.
The board discussed obtaining health insurance bids under old business but did not take final action. A work meeting is scheduled for Aug. 26, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., and the next regular meeting is set for Sept. 10, 2025, at 5:50 p.m. The board entered closed session at 7:09 p.m. for personnel and legal matters pursuant to state law and reconvened at 7:29 p.m., adjourning at 7:30 p.m.
