Tester said that on Dec. 30 he responded to a retail-fraud complaint at a business in the 500 block of East Main Street and arrested a 62-year-old Edmore man on a felony warrant for a parole violation; the minutes state the man had been trespassed from the business several years earlier. Tester is listed in the minutes as the newly assigned deputy for Edmore, having received briefing from the previously assigned Deputy Coon.
Village Manager Mark Borden reported on code enforcement matters: Deputy Paulsen sent an update that a junk-and-rubbish citation was issued for 315 S. Fifth Street under the Montcalm County Ordinance with a follow-up scheduled around Jan. 5; that follow-up was to be handled by Deputy Tester. Borden also reported an order for Stivers to make his vehicle legal and running or to park it out of sight for storage; that matter remained ongoing in the minutes.
