New Montcalm County commissioner introduces himself to Edmore council

Matt Murray introduced himself to the Edmore Village Council during the public-comment portion of the Nov. 11 meeting, saying he is serving as the county commissioner appointed to finish a prior term and has just been elected to a four-year term for District 7.
Murray thanked Home Township voters and said he plans to try to attend a village council meeting at least once a quarter and will relay Edmore concerns to the Montcalm County Board of Commissioners. He said the county recently passed its budget and is evaluating several programs to better use county funds for taxpayers.
The council thanked Murray for attending and for offering to convey local concerns to the county level.
