At the Jan. 13 Edmore Village Council meeting, Village Manager Mark Borden explained the village's automatic annual water and sewer rate adjustment would increase the current combined quarterly charge from $196.89 to $203.39.
Borden provided the arithmetic: the new quarterly rate will be $203.39, equal to an increase of about $2.16 per month for customers. After discussion, the council elected not to override the automatic adjustment and allowed the increase to take effect for the coming billing period.
Borden said the council retains the option to override automatic increases in the future but that for 2025 the members chose to let the scheduled adjustment proceed. No additional details on exemptions or customer relief programs were recorded in the minutes.
The decision was presented as part of the manager’s report; the minutes do not record a separate roll-call vote on the rate adjustment beyond the recorded council consensus to allow the increase.
