Hamilton Planning and Zoning Commission approves pool and detached garage permits

The Hamilton Planning and Zoning Commission on Aug. 6 approved a permit for an inground pool at 502 S. Dudley and an application to build a detached garage at 409 W. Arthur.
Michelle Smith appeared to request the pool permit and said the inground pool will have a locking cover and will be enclosed by an existing 4-foot fence. She told the commission that the final inspection will be completed by Homestead Inspection Co. Cole Crawford moved to approve the application; Kevin Gubernatis seconded and the board voted in favor.
Mr. and Mrs. Transbarger appeared to request approval for a detached garage at 409 W. Arthur. After discussion, Sean Connelly moved to approve the garage application; Kevin Gubernatis seconded and the board voted in favor.
The commission also approved the meeting agenda at the start of the session (motion by Cole Crawford; second by Kevin Gubernatis) and approved the June and July 2025 meeting minutes (motion by Sean Connelly; second by Kevin Gubernatis). The meeting adjourned at 6:13 p.m. The commission scheduled its next meeting for Sept. 3, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
