City Administrator Lauren Dannar told the Hamilton Board of Aldermen on July 22 that improvements are underway at the city water plant, with upcoming work planned on the chlorination room, and that the plant’s lagoons are scheduled for dredging; attorneys are reviewing a related contract.
Dannar also reported that the city must complete MIRMA (Missouri Intergovernmental Risk Management Association) compliance checklists for public and non-public facilities on a monthly or quarterly basis, and that she has been nominated to a MIRMA board position. Separately, the board heard that Kori Reed has been hired as a 1099 contractor to input historical billing data into QuickBooks as part of the city’s transition to Tyler Technologies’ billing software.
On routine business the board approved the amended agenda, accepted the minutes of the June 24 regular meeting and public hearing, and voted to approve the bills presented. The minutes record the board’s agreement to these routine items; motions to approve were made by council members and recorded as adopting the items.
Later in the evening, under the authority of RSMo 610.021(1), the board entered closed session at 7:12 p.m. to discuss personnel and legal matters on a motion by Robert Grant, seconded by Toni Schmidt; the board voted to close, returned to open session at 8:01 p.m., and adjourned at 8:02 p.m.
