Elberta council approves bank signatory, account access, credit-card reassignment and temporary deputy appointments

Council approved access arrangements for the village safe and for bank and MiClass investment accounts so that temporary office workers (Wilkins and Votruba) can make payroll and handle bills. For the safe access codes, the motion by McGregor, seconded by Fiebing passed on a roll call of Holmes Aye, Fiebing Aye and McGregor Aye; Wilkins and Votruba recused (3 ayes, 2 recused). A separate motion to grant full account access at State Savings Bank and MiClass accounts to Wilkins and Votruba passed on the same 3–0 roll call with two recused.
The council also designated Village President Jennifer Wilkins as the newly named person on the State Savings Bank office credit card after former Clerk-Treasurer Ralston destroyed her card. The motion by McGregor, seconded by Fiebing passed (Holmes Aye, Fiebing Aye, McGregor Aye, Votruba Aye; Wilkins recused).
Finally, the council made two temporary appointments: Emily Votruba was appointed Deputy Clerk-Treasurer until a permanent hire (motion by McGregor, seconded by Wilkins; roll call 4 ayes, 1 recused) and Jennifer Wilkins was appointed Deputy Treasurer until a permanent hire (motion by Votruba, seconded by McGregor; roll call 4 ayes, 1 recused). The minutes record recusals where appropriate; these appointments are temporary and intended to ensure continuity of financial operations.
