Kingstree council appoints members to BZA, ARB and Beautification Board

The Kingstree Town Council on Feb. 2 appointed members to three town advisory boards.
Code Enforcement Director James Elmore presented Michael Wrenn as a nominee for the Board of Zoning and Appeals. Councilman C.M. (Bubba) Hammet moved to appoint Wrenn; Councilman Stan Williamson seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Elmore clarified a nomination mix-up that had listed nominees for the wrong boards and presented Chris Williams as the intended nominee for the Architectural Review Board; Councilman Frankie D. White moved to appoint Williams, Councilman Edward (Ed) Anderson seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Elmore then presented Betty Fulton as a nominee for the Beautification Board and Councilman Edward Anderson nominated Pamela Pendergrass for a second vacancy. Councilman Stan Williamson moved to appoint Fulton and Pendergrass; Councilman Frankie D. White seconded and the motion carried unanimously. One Beautification Board seat remains open.
All appointments were approved by unanimous vote; council did not discuss qualifications in detail during the meeting.
