Councilmember Dick Sundberg moved to go into executive session under North Dakota Century Code 44-04-19.1 for attorney consultation; Jamie Nettum seconded and the motion carried by voice. The executive session began at 6:08 p.m. and the council reconvened at 7:00 p.m. with no formal action reported by the minutes.
Before the closed session, Joel Fremstad of Fremstad Law provided an overview of the property issues; Arnie Ruud was present. Mayor Blake Hankey read the documentation required to move into executive session. The minutes state that the executive session was authorized specifically for attorney consultation related to threatened litigation involving property located at or around 292 Stennes Drive.
After returning to open session, the council took no action on the matter. The meeting adjourned shortly thereafter at 7:05 p.m. following a motion to adjourn by Jamie Nettum, seconded by Dick Sundberg, which passed by voice vote.
