The Harwood City Council approved a cost-share agreement with the North Dakota Department of Water Resources that covers $47,640 in preconstruction costs for the North Water Main Loop project. Councilor Chris Higgins moved to approve the Agreement for Cost-Share Reimbursement; Chris Fix seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Engineering staff also discussed FEMA basement-exception documentation needed to complete project requirements and said they will coordinate with neighboring communities to reduce costs and share information. The engineer noted a Lake Shure annexation public hearing scheduled for March 10.
The agreement requires the mayor's signature to finalize the reimbursement arrangement; the council did not adopt any development ordinance or appropriation amendment at the meeting.
