Harwood approves reduced bulk-water rate for Dakota Ag, effective March 15

Mayor Dick Sundberg presented the council with an analysis of the financial effect of a decreased bulk-water rate on city finances.
Council member Chris Fix moved to approve the reduced rate; Jamie Nettum seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The council recorded that Dakota Ag must provide documentation to the city auditor confirming eligibility before the rate reduction begins on March 15, 2025.
The approval is limited to qualifying businesses and depends on Dakota Ag supplying the required documentation to the auditor prior to the effective date; the council did not adopt an ordinance or permanent rate schedule change during the meeting.
