The committee also considered House Resolution 576, commemorating July 4, 2026 as part of America 250, the nation's 250th anniversary. Representative Warner spoke as a co-prime sponsor and urged support, saying the anniversary is "a time to reflect on the sacrifices of those who built our country" and to celebrate civic ideals.
Both resolutions were reported out of committee (HR552 as amended; HR576 "reported as committed") with no negative votes recorded in the transcript. The discussions were ceremonial in nature; no formal policy or fiscal actions were taken on either resolution.
