The Westport Conservation Commission approved several routine administrative items and permit renewals during its July 7 meeting.
Staff recommended one‑year renewals for stockpile and transfer soil permits: permit #488 for George Brown (1108 Main Road); permit #452 for Kevin Condeis (832 Main Road); and permit #497 for John and Margaret Sylvia (33 Old County Road). Each recommendation noted the sites were in good working order; motions to renew were approved unanimously.
A notice of intent for 27 Eddy Drive (a 24x30 addition) was presented, with staff reporting the wetland line flagged in the field and the closest proposed work roughly 49 feet from the wetland; the commission approved the NOI with a condition requiring dry wells for roof runoff and standard erosion controls.
Commissioners also handled certificates of compliance for properties on Stagecoach Lane, including a full release for the completed project at 21 (or 19) Stagecoach Lane and the release of expired orders where no work commenced (file numbers referenced in staff reports). The commission voted to accept the June 23 meeting minutes (one abstention recorded) and approved a $193.50 payment to East Bay Media for hearing advertising.
Continuances and procedural notes: Jonathan Levy’s dock NOI for 418 G Drift Road was continued to September 29 at the applicant’s request.
